X-plore allows you to see inside of your Android device. And also outside.

This is a dual-pane explorer, there are two folders shown at same time, and common operation such as copying files are done from one pane to another.
And X-plore shows folder hierarchy in a tree view for clear orientation and fast switching to other location.

You may explore internals of the device, and if you're power user and have your device rooted, you can make changes to system data - backup files, remove unwanted applications, etc.

If you're standard user, you may choose to hide internal memory from view and be sure not to mess with system.
You can comfortably see contents of mass memories on your device, or possibly attached USB memory stick.

Simple app manager allows to see, run, copy, share, uninstall and further explore installed applications.

WiFi file sharing
Access files on your Android device from other Android devices over WiFi.

Access from a PC web browser
Manage files on your Android device from your PC.

Access to FTP and FTPS (secure FTP) servers is supported.
Multiple servers may be configured.

X-plore can display shared folders on other computers in LAN.

X-plore can access various web storage "Cloud" servers, and access their files.
You need to have account in supported web service, then you can access your files stored online through X-plore.

Supported is also SSH File Transfer (SFTP) and Terminal shell emulator.

X-plore contains music player that can play music tracks from any available location.

With Vault function, you can encrypt sensitive files, even by your fingerprint.

Main operations are related to managing files and folders - viewing, copying, moving, deleting, compressing to Zip, extracting, renaming, sharing, and more.

SQLite database viewer
X-plore can show SQLite database files (those with .db extension) as expandable list of tables, each table containing list of rows and columns with database entries.

Main interaction is done by touch screen, clicking on folders or files to open files, or long-click to open context menu which contains options which can be done on particular clicked item, or multiple selected items.
Multi-selection allows to do operation on more files at once.

Opening file may mean to use one of built-in viewer for most popular file types: images, audio, video and text.
Or you may configure X-plore to use system application for opening files, in which case system-predefined application that can open particular file is launched.

Archives (currently supported are Zip, Rar and 7zip) are displayed as other folders.

Seriously this thing is amazing. It's by far and away my favourite file explorer on Android. The dual-pane view actually suits phones really well. Massively recommended. I have an issue connecting to my 3DS' FTP server and have to use a different file explorer for that, but other than that tiny hiccup this is perfect. I'd also appreciate the ability to rotate pictures by adjusting the EXIF data Full Review

overall its a good app... the size is small, and it works perfectly... i just have some problem about renaming files... it will be awesome if u add fiture to renaming a lot of file at same time (with numbering or something like that) coz i cant do it right now and it become quite a problem if i have a lot of file to renaming... and if u can, please add fiture to change view... so its not always become list view like that... a larger view is awesome if u can make it... for the rest is perfect and satisfying... :) Full Review

This is such a nice and easy to use app for managing files. Cloud accounts are not loading correctly though. I should take a star, but I love the app too much. Together with Solid Explorer they have a duopoly on being the best file managers in the Play Store. Full Review

In short: I was using ES File Explorer since last five years. I will be using X-plore from now on! Amazing user interface. Period. *The light theme is too ugly, though. I'm using the dark one (which looks quite good)! Full Review

App is superb especially for video streaming, but only one thing needs, could you please update video player, because with your player video is very dark comparing with other's video apps, if i watch the same file 1080p in X-plore it's like 480p or less, none video quality at all, the same for photos.. add audio delay feature. Note: image viewer stopped playing animated gifs a few months back, which is slightly annoying. Currently the best free file manager on android, as far as I can tell. UI took a bit getting used to, but it was worth the effort. Full Review

*DEV. PLEASE READ THIS* Request to the developer. PLEASE do something with the material design, update the design, upgrade the looks to be more appealing for other new ppl who come to the app! Also add option to select which side of the explorer will open when I start the app. I want it to start on the right side(screen) not the left one. The best file explorer ! I tryed lots of them but this one does all it needs to do and is stable. Full Review

This app is awesome, in short get this app and see for yourself. I love the disk map feature helps know what's eating up your storage space. Also has a recycle bin and other cool features and still lightweight. Kudos to the developers, I just need to find out how to use its WiFi transfer feature Full Review

Been using it for years and I haven't found anything better on android. Wish I could remove the arrow pointing to internal shared storage as I have never used it (swipe works for me) and also the news button which I've never clicked. Would prefer it says 'open with' instead of 'open by' when long pressing a file and it should be at the top of the menu. Finally I would like to be able to pinch to change the font size as sometimes I want it smaller when browsing hundreds of files. Thanks. Full Review

I've tried dozens, yes dozens, of other file apps and nothing compares. If you're one of those who, like me, understand that making and receiving calls and texts is a very small part of what a phone does, then this app is for you. Full Review

Have been using xplore for years (since S60 10yr+).without doubt the best File Manager app. Happy to pay for extras as the Developer is constantly updating and improving. Great access to cloud storage makes file managing easy. Excellent work. I use it in Dark Mode which is so much better than light (Dev - just have it in dark mode?). Has great features - wifi sharing makes it super easy to keep track of files on different devices. The latest update with a clear way of seeing how much free storage just adds to an excellent quality product. More than happy to donate a few
